Frequently Asked Questions
about the Krka Day Trip from Zadar
Here are the most common questions guests ask before booking a day trip from Zadar to Krka:
Pick-up and Drop-off
Q: Can you pick us up from our hotel in Zadar?
A: Absolutely. I provide direct door-to-door service from any hotel, resort, villa, or private apartment in the Zadar area. Just provide your accommodation address when making your reservation.
Q: Do you pick up cruise ship passengers in Zadar?
A: Yes, this excursion is perfect for cruise passengers! I will meet you right at the Zadar cruise terminal (Gaženica Port or the Old Town port) holding a name sign. I completely customize the driving schedule around your ship’s exact docking and all-aboard times to guarantee you are back at the port with plenty of time to spare before sailing.
Q: Can we be dropped off at a different location after the tour?
A: Certainly. If you are switching accommodations, moving to a different town, or need a drop-off at the Zadar bus station instead of your original pickup spot, just let me know prior to the trip. I am highly flexible and will organize the logistics to fit your onward travel plans.
Q: Can you drop us at an airport (like Zadar or Split) after visiting the park?
A: Yes, turning this day trip into an onward transfer is a fantastic way to save time! Instead of driving back to your Zadar hotel or cruise ship, I can load your luggage in the morning, take you to the waterfalls, and then drop you off directly at Zadar Airport (ZAD) or Split Airport (SPU) for your flight. Just provide your flight details in advance.
Logistics
Q: How much time will we have to explore the waterfalls?
A: Typically, visitors spend between three and four hours exploring the nature reserve. This provides ample time to stroll along the wooden pathways, photograph the main cascades, and grab a bite to eat. If your cruise schedule requires a quicker visit, or if you want a more relaxed pace, we can easily adjust the timeframe.
Q: What if we want to stay longer than 4 hours?
A: If your holiday or port schedule permits, you are welcome to extend your visit! Please let me know your preferred duration beforehand so I can block out my schedule. (Note: a minor hourly waiting fee may apply for extended stays).
Q: Do you provide child seats for the drive?
A: Yes, traveling families are always welcome. I supply complimentary infant and booster seats for the vehicle. Simply mention the age and weight of your children when you book the ride.
Q: How far is Zadar from Krka National Park?
A: The distance from Zadar to Krka National Park is approximately 80 km, taking around one hour by car via the A1 highway. I drive the route daily, so you can count on a smooth, on-time arrival.
Park Tickets & Booking
Q: Are tickets to Krka included in the price?
A: No, entrance tickets are not included. You buy them directly from Krka National Park (at Skradin, Lozovac or online). This allows you to choose the exact ticket type and take advantage of any seasonal discounts. Tickets typically range from €7 (low season) to €40 (peak summer), purchased directly at Skradin, Lozovac, or via the official Krka National Park website. I can advise on the best option for your visit date.
Q: How do we pay the fixed price of 260 €?
A: First, to secure your reservation and reserve the vehicle for your specific date and time, a €100 advance payment is required. As soon as payment is received you will get an invoice as booking confirmation. Please note that this deposit is not refundable in case you decide to cancel. Afterwards, the remaining €160 is paid directly to the driver with either cash or card once your trip is safely completed. Each transaction will have its own invoice.
